Other types of accidents and injuries that may result in you being able to make a claim could involve leisure or sporting activities. As a rule of thumb, if you can show that your accident could have been prevented and was someone else’s fault, then you probably have good grounds to claim.

If you trip whilst on a pavement or public highway and the hole or raised slab exceeds one inch (1" /2.5 cm) then it is likely that you will have a viable compensation claim. If the hole / raised paving slab is less than 1" /2.5 cm then you may still have a claim in special circumstances.
