Road Traffic Accidents

Hades Claims - Road Traffic Accidents

In the event of an accident we will look after your claim if:

  • You were the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident for which another driver was to blame.
  • You were a passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident and your driver, or the driver of the other vehicle, is at fault.
  • You are a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle when crossing a road - especially at a pedestrian crossing.
  • You are a cyclist who was knocked off your bike by a motorist who failed to see you.

We offer a stress free, efficient solution for you in the event of an accident.

We can provide:

  • 24 Hour Vehicle Recovery. Following a call to us, vehicles that cannot be driven are recovered and transported for safe keeping to one of our authorised repairers.
  • Vehicle Replacement. A vehicle is provided for the duration of the repair to ensure driver mobility at all times.
  • A Quality, Cost Effective Repair. A nationally negotiated labour rate and rigorous time management ensure reduced repair costs. Every repair quote is scrutinised by independent motor engineers and inspections are sought within 48 hours.
  • Total Claims Assistance. We manage the whole of the claims process for a swift, satisfactory resolution.

Claiming for Personal Injury.

In a Road Traffic Accident (RTA’s), many drivers and/or passengers suffer a jolt or reaction.

This can cause personal injury, which can include a variety of symptoms, extending from broken bones to headaches.

Many people involved in RTA’s do not realise that they have suffered an injury or that they are entitled to compensation for it from the responsible party causing the collision. In our experience, most injuries attract an award of at least £1,000.

The most common symptoms are:

  • Whiplash (pain / stiffness in neck, back or shoulders)
  • Fractures (broken bones)
  • Dislocation of joints
  • Cuts and bruises
  • Headaches
  • Anxiety and or depression
  • Panic Attacks (trembling, car phobia)
  • Loss of sleep / sleep disturbance

Act now.

If you are suffering, or have suffered, from any of the above or other symptoms as a result of your accident, please seek medical treatment immediately if you have not already done so.

Please complete the online claim form, or print off the form to complete at home and send to us in the post.

The procedure is simple. We will refer you to one of our appointed solicitors who will provide specialist advice and guide you through the claims process.

You have 3 years from the date of an accident within which to issue court proceedings against the other party, failing which you may be barred from taking action. However, as all delays may prejudice claims, our advice is to proceed with your claim as soon as possible.

Uninsured Loss Recovery

We also provide an uninsured loss recovery service. We understand that not every accident claim involves a personal injury, and we ensure that all legitimate losses are recovered on behalf of our clients on every incident reported to us. This is particularly important if you are not insured for compensation benefits.

In the event that there is no injury to any party, Hades Claims will:

  • Hold the third party and/or insurer responsible, in writing within 24 hours of the driver's notification informing them we will be seeking to recover our clients loses from them.
  • Will obtain details of ownership from the DVLA (if only a registration number is available)
  • Request Witness Statements.
  • Attempt to establish the Third Party's insurer details.

Liability

Hades Claims or their appointed solicitor will:

  • Negotiate liability with the Third Party as soon as possible; this may be prior to submission of quantum.

Hades Claims or their appointed solicitor may:

  • Seek additional evidence such as Police Reports, Locus Report, and the use of video images of the vehicle damage to support the driver's allegations, as necessary.

Quantum

Hades Claims or their appointed solicitor will:

  • Submit details of losses to include details of the repair cost, excess, hire charges, engineer's fees, specialist recovery and storage charges if incurred.
  • Claim for loss of use if a hire vehicle was not used.

Hades Claims or their appointed solicitor may:

  • Substantiate losses with engineer reports, video images of the damage and the repair event histories, as held on our Accident Management System.

Negotiations

Hades Claims or their appointed solicitor will:

  • Review the case and chase settlement or a response.
  • Communicate via telephone, letter or e mail, whichever generates the quickest response.
  • Follow up on every required action on a timely basis to ensure the quickest possible response or settlement.
